Furnance Shell is made of 25 mm P355GH boiler grade steel and equipped with 7 tapping launders. The shell with a diameter of 11.69 meters is assembled with an accuracy of +/- 3 mm.
The furnace body was manufactured by TTS for the production of pure silicon. The furnace will be installed at the ELKEM SALTEN plant in Norway.
